Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Buyer/Procurement Professional. You will lead in the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that company operational needs are met, considering price, quality, delivery and continuity of supply. As a valued member of our team you will be involved at all stages of the design, development and manufacturing engineering processes, working on the creation of new 48-1200V scaleable e-module technology in high performance Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial applications.

Key accountabilities:

• Lead the procurement activities for the company, working with the engineering design, development and manufacturing team and our supply chain to create detailed specifications, and identify project drivers and needs
• Analyse and refine the company’s procurement strategy, identify and source appropriate suppliers
• Initiate negotiations and take the lead in closing price agreements
• Identify risk, minimise exposure and work closely with internal stakeholders to define and implement mitigating actions
• Managing Commercial terms and conditions as well as Legal compliance – particularly with regards to control of intellectual property
• Provide cost analysis and ensure all risks and opportunities are captured and managed
• Manage the sourcing process from market research through to supplier nomination, contract award and contract management

Knowledge and experience:

• Demonstrable understanding of technical engineering relevant to the automotive industry
• Working knowledge of Automotive Material Requirements
• Supplier cost management techniques
• Experience within automotive industry
• Supplier dispute resolution
• Strong negotiation
• Thorough understanding of Bill of Materials and Production Routings
• Experienced in Quality Control requirements and problem-solving techniques
